As with most other school activites, the Liberty Bands are fueled by parent volunteers. The more parents volunteer, the easier it is for everyone, including the students, and the more students can focus on performance skills. One doesn't have to be a Liberty Band Boosters office holder in order to have a positive impact. Anything a parent can do to assist their student, and by extension, the Band, is much appreciated! Examples of this kind of "just pitch in" to help include: event food preparation, peformance transportation help with packing and travel, and single fundraiser management.
Another way to contribute is to dedicate some time to help the formal office holders. They all need assistance.
If you're interested in an area that a formal office holder covers, please contact them and offer your help.
The office holders can't do everything.
Additionally, download and read the formal office holder duty descriptions. If you are interested in or have skiils applicable to performing these duties, maybe you'd like to be the next in line to hold the office.
In summary, there is an expectation that Band member parents will dedicate time to make their student musician as successful as possible, and this is best achieved through helping the Bands and Band Boosters support
all the students.
